MY INTERNAL BATTLES

I don't know why. But I’m still trying to figure out how to overcome these anxieties. I’ve noticed that anxiety takes over your conscious thoughts. The plan to overcome anxiety is for your conscious thoughts to take over anxiety. By implementing breath exercises, such as meditation or the 3–4–5 technique.

This technique requires you to move 3 body parts, listen to 4 different sounds around you and look for 5 different things/objects. This technique works for me because it allows me to be in the present and put the mind to work in the present.

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”

Recently, I overcame an insomnia problem that came out of nowhere. I would experience it just before going to sleep. As I fall asleep, I would suddenly wake up to a gasp for air. A big inhale through the mouth, as if I was out of breath.

I associate the “fear” with “falling asleep” and never had that problem since. I love finding answers to problems. As if that’s my only purpose. But in fact everyone goes through the same thing. Some don't find the answers, while some do. I tend to find answers but not always if not it’s not fun.

And the answer for most my battles it is not to fight against it. This technique also works for me when I have sleep paralysis. I know sometimes it’s annoying but don’t fight it, just ride it.

Will that work for you? Like I previously mentioned everyone is unique, it might not work and it might. That’s why you have to try it out to figure it out.

My biggest fear is dying. That’s my next goal is to control and remove that fear. Lets begin.

What I fear is nothingness. So the only time I’ve experienced nothingness is before my birth. In another word, we’ve experienced nothingness before. This simple thinking erased my anxiety dying. Honestly. The last couple phrases of this chapter was written 2–3 weeks apart so this way of perceiving nothingness erased my anxieties mentioned above. You always feel nervous when it’s your first time. But you’ve done it before. Why feel nervous?
